Okay, I've received many, many questions across multiple groups as to where folks can score a used, unobtainium, discontinued, Targa Air Dam a.k.a. Nighthawk Chin Scoop, a.k.a. Nighthawk Belly Pan, etc.

While the only answer I know of on a Targa specific one, like mine, is keeping a constant eye out for a used one, as I did, I've recently come across other options for what would appear to be late model Nighthawk CB750 compatible options. Here you go:

Gimbel Belly Pan Honda CB 750 93 - 96 Fz - Type: RC42 Unvarnished with Tüv:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263851131025

MAIER, Black Universal Air Scoop - 007050, Part #: 61450 , Mfg Part #: 007050:

On that same token, I've received similar questions about my unobtainium, discontinued, Targa Tsunami front fairing.

While these are not identical, they are perhaps some noteworthy alternatives which would appear to be both late model Nighthawk compatible and currently available:

Venom MK II Cafe Racer Bobber Fairing & Windshield Fits 7" Headlights - HONDA:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F312770968253

Parabellum Scout Fairing (technically for most bare BMW's and Triumph Bonneville's):

34" Universal motorcycle Cruiser front fairing batwing bat wing w/ windshield:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F231313263722

Hope this helps! If any of you pull the trigger on any of these or know of other noteworthy options which are in some fashion comparable to my Targa kit, please share.
Every day is a gift.

[Re: "How many miles do you put on your bike in a year? Your posts are an inspiration... not just because of the constant modding, but because they are functional mods that support your obvious love of riding. Keep it, you're inspiring us all!"]

Thanks so much for your post and kind words!

To be honest, I couldn't tell you offhand just how many miles a year I put on her, only that I hop on my Nighthawk seemingly every chance I get, including my work commute. That said, no doubt many riders here in the NHF forums have achieved even more mileage feats on their motorcycles than myself, lol.

What I can tell you is that nearly every mod I've done to my black 1992 Honda CB750 Nighthawk UJM has been in an effort to prepare for my first "Saddle Sore 1000" (SS100) via the "Iron Butt Association" (IBA), [sorry, I didn't come up with these names, and much prefer the abbreviations, haha] considered to be "The World's Toughest Riders."

Weather permitting, if I can get my notched steering bearings replaced, and carbs sync'd, I'm slated to tackle my 1st IBA SS1000 with 2-3 other riders, June 14th-June 15th, 2020. (I've got moto rain gear, but the guys I'm going with don't want to go, if raining...and the IBA doesn't recommend it, either, if avoidable).

Prior to that (if my bike's done), we're hoping to complete a 500 mi. test drive together, 1-2wks. prior.

My NH's slated for next the garage next week [waiting list], and with the current pandemic at hand, parts are said to be delayed four days (for shops), or nine to twelve plus days (for the rest of us).

Anyways, thanks again, stay healthy, stay safe and have a great Memorial Day weekend!

P.S. For more info. on the IBA and/or SS1000, please see also:

Stoked my Nelson-Rigg (NR-150) magnetic tank bag with map holder and plastic rain fly (with clear, map viewing window), replacement Joe Rocket (RS-2) men's two piece, black Motorcycle rain suit (since my previous one apparently flew out of a hard case I'd forgot to latch; Doh!) and Nelson-Rigg (WPRB-100-03-LG) adult, black, waterproof rain boots covers all arrived this weekend, with my Krator blk freeway bar pegs slated to arrive, tomorrow.

Took her out again first thing this morning to pick up a gallon of milk, ½ gallon of half and half, and a dozen eggs.

Have a happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Nice!  Love the luggage. I have the same Corbin seat, made a huge improvement.
The stock seat is "softer" but you get pressure on the "sit bones" after a while.
The Corbin is more firm, but distributes the pressure to avoid the discomfort.

I have thought about getting some rubber for the sides of the tank.
Are yours made for a particular bike, or did you cut them to fit?

Thanks, me too!

As far as the rubber side tank grips go, I scoured the internet for a style I liked for the shape of the Nighthawk tank and eventually settled on these, from eBay, from what I can recall. I get compliments on them from time to time, as folks eyes are drawn to them.

Pretty stoked to have finally completed, the highly anticipated, IBA SS1000 (1000+mi. moto-ride, via  Nighthawk, in less than 24 hrs., spanning 5 U.S. States)!

Ended up squeezing in many, many, somewhat last minute repairs, upgrades and adjustments to my black 1992 Honda CB750 Nighthawk, in the days, weeks and months leading up to our departure (mostly in the days and hours, prior, lol).

Had a bit of Murphy's Law today...

Broke key off in Givi side case, with it locked open, away from home, so had to improvise.

Just prior to that, noticed right front turn signal not working, so of course rear one was blinking like crazy. Assumed bulb, but realized, while away from home, was broken factory solder, so had to drive home as-is.

Decided to fix, rather than replace.

Good to go!

Shot this quick (iPhone 7) photograph of my black, 1992 Honda CB750 Nighthawk UJM, over my lunch break today, while overlooking some rapids below (not pictured, due to angle).

Added both an analog timepiece and thermometer yesterday, so I don't have to look at my wrist watch while commuting to work anymore, which is nice. (The thermometer's more of a novelty, but could help determine when to go ahead and layer up or shed gear, I suppose).

Also swapped positioning of my Garmin Zumo GPS and my RAM Mount iPhone holder, just to change things up a bit and help determine the best possible configuration (though my phone stays in my pocket, most rides, nowadays anyways).

New clutch cables installed; Back in action! (OEM one had snapped, on my daily commute).

Also, added this cool, rubberized, 3-digit combination locking carabiner, with 6" black coated cable, to keep my Nelson Rigg tank bag secure, from theft or flight.

Liked it so much, picked up a 2nd one (not pictured) I'll leave attached to the tank bag handle for securing my helmet, (when hanging it off handgrip in questionable areas), and will likely pick up a third one to leave attached to my exterior Givi cargo carrier, in case I ever want to leave my armored jacket on the bike, when my hard cases are full. Can't beat the price, at around $10. ea., w/free shipping!

It's official, my SS1000 has been certified and corresponding IBA membership has been achieved!

Received e-mail confirmation (excerpt above), followed by envelope (just three days after e-mail) with completion certificate, membership number, stickers, "World's Toughest Rider's" plate back, permanent listing in IBA's record database, etc.

Pretty sweet!
