I just got my (new-to-me) black 1992 Honda Nighthawk CB750 from a NY Craigslist seller last Wednesday, but here she is!

I took her to get PA inspected this past Tuesday, and am scheduled to have about $300. worth of inspection related and general recommendations (carbs cleaned, etc), this coming Tuesday. I've also washed and polished her yesterday, and lubricated the chain. Ordered a replacement chain guard (since mine's missing), used, off eBay and some GPS mounting related stuff, too. Also bought the "91-92" Honda Service manual (though in hindsight, guess I should have technically bought the "92-93" one, and the '92 Owner's manual, too.

Look'n fwd to really riding her, following her shop time Tuesday, when everything's as it should be. Sure has been fun being on a motorcycle again, for the first time in a decade though, in the meantime!

(As a sidebar, 15 years ago, my 1st bike was a black, Yamaha XJ600 Seca II, and my 2nd bike, while abroad a year in NZ had been a blue, Honda GL 145).

I'm told the first owner took her cross country (U.S.) three times;  That said, she had 48,590 on her when I bought her, and I've only added around 50 miles so far, myself.  It was a first bike for the guy I bought it from, (who apparently preferred the feel of a Shadow, so they switched over to one of those).

Pretty stoked; Finally scored the hard-to-find Givi hard case / pannier setup for her, semi-locally, yesterday! (Givi Wingrack N140 2 with integrated turn signals, Givi 127 Universal Fit Kit and pair of Givi E21 Monokey hard cases). Had been searching for this quite awhile.

I've done a handful of much smaller upgrades along the way too, but didn't think to pause and post about'em here. (Waterproof USB/AUX Power Jacks, Waterproof GPS Mount, Reupholstered OEM Seat, National Cycle F-Series™ F-18 fairing, Nylon [Kawasaki] saddle bags, "Blue Job" [chrome cleaner], etc). More to follow, though!

Today I installed an economical, black, aluminum kickstand enlarger with stainless steel hardware too, (as suggested by fellow NHF members).

Forgot to update this thread a little while back...

In mid July I rid her of her blued, rusted pipe coating, quickly, easily and inexpensively...

Finally got a chance to have the used, maroon Targa Tsunami (front fairing) I'd picked up sometime last August (just before we had to suddenly throw everything into storage a couple months, close on our home and move; eventually unpacking), off an Oklahoma Craigslister, re-glassed and professionally painted, so I could install her last week.

Have since put roughly 500 or so more miles on my '92 Nighthawk, and am BLOWN AWAY at just how BEAUTIFULLY she (finally) CUTS THROUGH THE WIND!

Had finally mounted the Targa Air Dam ("Chin Scoop" / "Cowling" / "Lower Spoiler") shortly prior, which I'd picked up off NHF Member razorbacksrule, out of Arkansas, too.

This winning combo is an absolute GAME CHANGER!

While the stock/OEM/naked headlight NH look is cool looking (which drew me to the bike, off a NY Craigslister), and later, temporarily adding the (eBay) National F-Series[emoji769] F-18 fairing helped with buffeting/the wind...

With the (unfortunately discontinued) Targa Tsunami & Targa Air Dam combo installed, she feels like she [much more] quietly hugs the road, which may lead you to believe you're going about 30mph slower than you actually are, (when cruising on the highway), which is fantastic...in helping cut down on fatigue tremendously (especially when combined with a nice pair of properly inserted ear plugs).

By the best, conservative estimates, my Nighthawk would appear to now look 100,000x's cooler than she previously had...well, at least to me. Haha! :)

In short:  STOKED!

Stoked, after two, used Centerstand deals fell through (one was my fault, as money was tight...with the recent move, the other someone simply beat me to), I finally scored a brand new one, from the factory, with free shipping and even got cash back ($10. + $3.75), through my free, new Ebates account (https://go.ebat.es/imsk/MOtZqQhIeD), off MotoSport.com, scoring free MotoSport stickers and calendar, in the process.

Hoping to install in the next 24-48hrs. Install pics to follow.

As a sidebar, I'd been all ready to buy through Partzilla, but they required $149. before offering free S&H, and didn't qualify for cash back via Ebates, whereas MotoSport only required a purchase of $79. to qualify for free S&H, also qualified for Ebates cash back, and I think the 1992 Honda CB 750A Nighthawk Main Stand Set (Centerstand Kit) was a dollar cheaper via MotoSport too, lol.

Project got delayed...but FINALLY installed my brand new, Honda OEM Centerstand, tonight!

Couldn't fit my new HFT torque wrench in there, so just made sure she was good and snug, yet operational.

Guess they included a spare Centerstand spring assembly clear hose tube?

Post install pics to follow, another day.

As a sidebar, look'n fwd to trying the "Shout Spray" cleaning hack....

Also, is that left side, round, Honda engine cover, scuffed by a previous owner inexpensive and easy to swap out, or is it like opening a can of worms? On that note, easier to try and buff out their scuffs? Please share recommended technique, if so. No biggie either way, just curious.

Put four, new "NGK R DPR8EA 9" plugs in her yesterday, each torqued to 12 ft. lbs.

Tried to sticker her up today, with a couple PADI DIVER stickers on her Givi's, but they didn't want to adhere, even after first cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol. O'well, took this pic before transferring them over to each of our SUV's, (where they adhered to the side windows beautifully).

Fortunately, the previously adhered DIVE Flag is holding up just fine.
