Alright folks, new member of the forum here and I'm undertaking the impossible task of getting away with restoring a 1986 nighthawk s in my apartment parking lot! Seeing as most technical threads were lost with the old forum I will do my best to continue posting and hopefully share some learning experiences on the way. Thank you!

The 700 was the only size that came with the black engine and wheels.

Yessir, 1986 cb700sc... with school and work it's going to be a slower moving project but I had the opportunity to pick this particular bike up for a steal of $500

Alright guys! Been moving a little slow as I came down with pneumonia so just now getting back in the swing of things... in the. Meantime here's a few pictures of the carbs doing their simple green soak and the frame after powder coat. Looks like you're doing all the right things to restore the bike to a safe, dependable ride. Unbelievable that you're doing this in the parking lot! Good luck and don't lose small screws and nuts! I restored an 80 Kawasaki KZ1000, it takes a while, but worth it when done. I rebuilt all the calipers and master cylinders (not sure if you're going to that extent). Good luck and keep us posted on your restore. Going to be a nice bike!
