I"m wanting to install a windscreen.  Through all these years, has there been brands or models that have risen to the top of the list of best options for this particular bike?  I"m 6'2" and have a fairly long torso, so my helmet is up there a ways.  Thanks

My favorite is the Vetter Rooster, if you can find a nice one with hardware.

Right - would have to be used as out of production. But stuff does turn up.

If you want something you can purchase new, several of us on the old forum were happy with this street shield EX

They still sell them - but I got a great deal used on mine. there are LOTS of them out there.

You should also put a lip on top of the windshield to pull the air up higher, and reduce turbulence.
See this thread https://nighthawkforums.com/index.php?topic=117.msg701#msg701 (Larry's bike, and mine at end of thread with lip).
Based on your height, I would put a Puig or MRA lip on it to really get the air moving up (as alternative to a barn door, like the Plexfairing 3 which I also have and put on during winter sometimes). there are knockoffs of the Puig & MRA for as low as $30.
Here's my Street Shield EX. They come with "hose clamps" that go around the forks, and some other brackets to universal fit on handlebars. Works great on the late model 750 NH

Do you want a windshield you look through or just over the top?  Some helmet buffeting is to be expected with that design. Or are you looking for a bikini fairing that blocks wind blast from about the upper chest on down while leaving your helmet in clean air without buffeting?  We have a spare red Targa fairing with mounting hardware.  Has a few scratches, no cracks.  See linked pic for example:
