Engine noise

85 650 NH.

Had it just over two years. There is a engine "whine" which I know is normal, but what is it? My guess is the valve train?

Alternators often make a whining noise.
Is your noise affected when you change the engine oil?

Not oil, perhaps the alternator, not sure.
BTW, I've heard the same noise on YouTube videos.

Primary gear whine.
92 Honda 750 Nighthawk
