Hi, new member here. i have an 85 CB650 with 36k miles. on yesterdays ride i noticed a clutch related issue. the clutch lever started to get really stiff and when rolling and pulling the clutch in there was a whirring/pulsing noise that would go up and down as the wheel speed went up and down. i checked the fluid level before the ride but will check again today. any thoughts? thanks in advance.

Sounds like your slave cylinder may need to be cleaned and rebuilt.  If it stops releasing pressure, the clutch actuating rod might not be moving all the way.

Also, check the return port - small hole - in the master. Does it sound/feel like slipping?

thanks, will do. the clutch isn't slipping. just a noise that mimcis the wheel rotation speed.
