Plug wires question

I used to drive air-cooled VW's, and you could remove a spark plug cap by simply twisting it off of the plug wire. I'm wondering if you can do the same with a 85 CB 650 Nighthawk?

Yes, if I'm not mistaken, the wires screw into the coils, and the plug caps screw into the wires.

That's how they are on the 700S from the same era, and on my Yamaha from 1981 so I assume it was the common method for the time.  Unless they're hardwired in place.
