2002 Honda Nighthawk CB750. (bought new March 2002)

I liked the style of it.

Don't have any dislikes about it.  It has never given me any trouble. It does what I need it to do.

6th is overdrive because it's higher than a 1:1 ratio to the engine.

I got my 700S without knowing anything at all about Nighthawks.  Had never heard the name, and hadn't done any research.
My wife said I could get myself a bike to replace the one I had sold to buy my plane ticket to move to the US, so I went to eBay and loved the look of the 700S from the moment I saw it.  Spotted one relatively nearby, then rented a truck in Pennsylvania and picked it up.  Snapped the starter chain when I tried to get it running, so I tore down the engine in the kitchen of our 1-bedroom NYC apartment.
With the benefit of hindsight, I have come to appreciate what a great machine I stumbled onto.  So many features that were dropped from newer bikes because they were too expensive -- hydraulic lifters, shaft drive, twin discs, etc.
I have added other bikes to my stable since I got the Nighthawk, and some of them haven't worked out -- but that's the one that's always staying in my stable.

Northern Rider

I purchased my 96 Nighthawk 750 due to being black, spoke wheels and 3,600 miles. I always liked the looks of a BMW R1100S, but after sitting on one, I knew I was too short (under tall) to ride a Beemer.

The Nighthawk looks a lot like the R1100S BMW, so that is the first thing that attracted me to it. The little Nighthawk with it's 75 HP is a fast and fun bike.
