Not required, per se, but what best routes the wires.

The shop manual probably has a drawing showing it.

It's the straight caps that are assembled in a way that you can't get to the resistor.

On my 92 #2 and #3 are straight. I (could) put angled ones there maybe but it would look out of place.

I've already gone to DP8EA-9 (no "R" for resistor) plugs at .042 in. gap and I'm happy at that. Available at Auto Zone and cheap!🙂👍

So I apparently took it too far.  On the 2 straight plug caps you unscrew the wire, then grab the "screw" with needle nose pliers and rock and pull. You'll get to the resistor.

So I was running no resistor plugs gapped at .044 in.and no resistor caps.

GREAT POWER!...But started feeling an occasional, momentary ignition cut out. One time I saw the tach climb to redline while no power.  Doesn't even last half a second.

So now I put resistor plugs back in, no more ignition cut, but slight loss of power.

Now I want to try 1 plug on each coil no resistor. Another day.
