Frequently you can unscrew the plug wires at both ends, cut off 1/4 in. and screw back together.
Keep in mind any failure in the circuit kills both paired plugs.

Spark tester is otw, preparing my mind in case I need the coils

Bob is right.  Confirm the lack of spark before firing the parts cannon at the problem.

I got replacement plug wires off eBay.  Pretty simple installation, and they made a HUGE improvement in performance even though the old ones seemed to be fine.
Get your self up and running first, but definitely replace them when you get the chance.

Update, resistance tested well on terminals for both Coils, about 3.0 Ohm (are the spark plugs supposed to still be connected for this?) Was only able Ohm one coil at the plugs because my probes are too short to test the the other coil. Was going to test the ICM wiring at the disconnect plug but again probes are too large to get a good reading in there. Ordered new probes, while I was in there replaced plugs and replaced my leaking valve cover gasket!

Maybe I am using that spark tester in correctly but I placed the metal probe into the spark plug connector and was zapped pretty good (no light indicated on the instrument) so I believe that coil is firing haven't tested the other as of yet.

Spark tester normally goes inline between the plug and its lead.

Sounds like your body was acting as the "ground".
The $5 Harbor Freight tester is a knock off of this one (video less than a minute)

Updating team, after few months of procrastination I have found the reasons for my issues. Coils tested well and the ICM so I set my sights on it being a fuel issue. I discovered the vaccumm line that opens the diaphragm in the peacock was torn. After replacing the line she is purring again.

New problem now lol buts thats what you get when you leave something off for a while. No more speedo, cable is not spinning (at the speedo) so I will check further down the line
