I have a barn find '84 650sc that I'm rebuilding and I'm assembling the swing arm right now. On the right side it seems there should be a sleeve or rubber boot to cover the swing arm pivot bolt between the swingerarm seal and the frame. I don't see anything listed in my manual(s) or the online parts places. Can someone tell what I'm missing? Thanks

Sorry, I see I 've posted this in the wrong place. Anyhow, the question still stands.

Is the swingarm currently in place, or is it disassembled?

It's in place but not torqued up yet. I'll have to dis-assemble it to put the (assumed) missing piece over the pivot bolt.

Here's a pic of the pivot bolt that looks like it should have some sort of cover on it

But did you disassemble it, or did you get the bike like that?
Could it be the wrong swingarm?

Oh it's entirely my doing! It was together when I got it and now I'm at a bit of a loss to figure what I'm missing. I've pretty much taken the whole bike apart (before everyone starts rolling their eyes I've done several of these projects) and I'm a little perplexed why I don't see anything in the manual regarding the re-assembly. Maybe someone could post a picture of their bike for a visual reference. Mine's an '84 cb650sc. Cheers
