No email notifications

Hey admin.

I just wanted to ask if there was a problem with the board? For some reason I am not getting any emails to alert me that my post has been replied to.

I have clicked in post and enabled receive emails and alerts but this doesn't seem to be working. I never get notified that I have had a reply.

Any ideas please?

Saves me checking every so often to be sure.

Hmmm.  Now that you mention it, I haven't been getting notifications either.  I will take a look when I have a few minutes to see if I can work out what is going on.

So, checking up on this.  Do you have your preferences set to receive email when someone replies to one of your threads?  That's not the default setup for this forum.

Yep I have this ticked.

Notifications, Alert Preferences, Boards and Topics, When a topic I follow receives a reply, and I have ticked both Receive Alert and Receive Email.

Okay, it may be something in the server settings although I haven't seen any complaints that people haven't been receiving password resets, which use the same server.  I will keep looking and testing, but please also check your spam filters in case things are being stopped there.

Hi Mollusc.

I can confirm there is nothing in my spam filters. I have never once received am email letting me know a topic has been replied to.

It would be handy to have this feature working so I can log straight on when there is a reply. If not it gives me a reason to stay on here which is no bad thing

Just to confirm, yesterday I had my first email saying that a forum post had been replied to. In fact I think I had 5 come in all at once, so it appears to be working now.
