I have seen parts suppliers ask if the bike is a CB750 Nighthawk or a 750AC Nighthawk. What is the difference between the two? Thanks in advance.

The "official" model number is CB750A. The C indicates a California (emissions) model.

leaner carb. jetting, evap canister, pulse air injection, weighs more due to all that crap.

All so your tiny engine doesn't pollute next to that pickup, semi, or bus that belches out a black cloud at the light.

True, the emissions controls suck - but 70 degrees in California today and no rain for weeks. Great riding weather!
