Hello,

Ive never had any machine that can rev as high as this 750S I have which is about 9.5k.

I dont shift above 5K as it has enough power within that range to get around. I was doing about 120kmph on the highway in OD at about 4k rpm.

Do you ever get high in the rpms or is it just there for spare power? I know in the VTEC Hondas it was recommended to get the VTEC engaged everynow and then, mostly after oil changes, to circulate oil through that system which was above a certain rpm threshold.

I also find the bike get loud and turns more heads the higher I shift and im not ready to be that guy yet.

There's a big change in character on the 700S/750S engine above about 7500rpm.  Personally, I don't tend to ride mine that hard and usually hang out in the 4-6k rpm range.

Thats what I was thinking, I find it to get to aggressive at high rpm for my novice self.

I typically ride around 3-5k rpm as my 91 has shorter pipes so they are a bit louder than normal.  I like it that way(bought it that way, didn't chop them myself)  Anyway.  I tend to shift around 5-7k rpm depending on what speed I'm accelerating to.   I have been riding more in the 5+k rpm at times now as I've learned that it's good to "cook" off the crap in the engine on a daily driver that doesn't get up in rpms that often.  So at times I'm "that guy" riding at 7k rpms for a while to "cook" off possible build up inside.  I don't speed at those rpms but it sure sounds like I'm flying.   Sometime if I'm going from stopped or very slow up to highway speed and needing to shift through the gears to top gear I'll shift high because I like to speed shift without the clutch and that works best at high rpms for me.

The bike can handle it just fine...If anything its better to wind it out once in a while to clear out the carbon build up in the engine. You could shift right before redline if you wanted to--maybe not every shift every day (lol) but once in a while totally fine. Even everyday driving you can take it above 5K and have some fun  8)
