Hello All. First post. I have an 85 cb700s that I got 3 years ago non running. Carbs cleaned and it runs good but high rpm was iffy. It would actually prefer just less than full throttle above 7500 rpm. It also would run better without the airbox lid so I suspected someone messed with the jets.
Sure enough, the mains were #122 and it has adjustable needles. Carb slides were drilled too which explained a stumble just off idle no matter how many needle and mixture adjustments I made.
I was able to get a set of stock slides and needles. I'd like to go with stock 118 main jets but it seems some like the 120 main jet. The jets I ordered from carbjetkits are 120 mains and #38 pilots. What's your guesstimate on jetting?  Stock bike. 400 feet elevation.

Stock is 115 and 35 for that bike.  Many say that this is a little lean so maybe 118 wouldn't be a bad idea.

Go with the recommendation of carbjetkits.com.  Done a few bikes with them  Perfect.
