O-rings leaking after 1 year

 I lubricated the O'rings before installing them. Oh, and don't forget to clean the tunnel they fit into.

Right. I had some SIL-Glyde Silicone Based Brake Assembly Lubricant that I put on my O-rings before assembly.
Figured if it was OK for the seals on brake caliper pistons (rubber) it would be OK for the O-rings.

Next winter I'll try to leave the gas in the carbs with Marine Stabil.

Yeah, and maybe apply vacuum to the petcock once a month to ensure the float bowls are full. It's when gas evaporates and leaves a residue that you are screwed.

After rebuilding my carbs last year I drained, measured each float bowl contents, and refilled to make sure the each bowl was equal measure and none were sticking.

I was amazed how quickly the bowls filled back up and the gas stopped flowing when apply slight vacuum to petcock, it is under 10 seconds. Fuel filter from K&N
