have a '85 cb 650sc Nighthawk, and someday I will be moving out of state. I've been doing some research, and this is the first of what I saw on Ebay. My question is, anyone have any advice, are there any better?

And, since my Honda is shaft drive, could towing be a potential lubrication problem for the bevel gear (connected to the driveshaft) in the transmission?

Fixed, thanks Larry

Your link brings up a motorcycle trailer search, not a specific item.

I would fit the motorcycle between the mattress and the dining room table in the U-Haul moving truck.

Now it's working.

It says it's good for 800 pounds, but I wouldn't put my 700-pound + ST1100s on it. The rear end shouldn't be a problem, as the oil bathes the gears anyway.

I'd be more concerned about the half of the transmission gears that rotate with the back wheel getting no lubrication because the engine won't be running.

You might look into whether the front U-joint can de disconnected easily. Do you have a 2" hitch receiver on a vehicle that can handle the tongue weight?

Thanks everyone for the replies. My bike weighs around 500 lb wet.
Larry, yes I worry about the bevel gear getting lubricated. If I was towing with rear wheel on the ground, possibly the bevel gear would get lubricated. As for disconnecting the driveshaft that is a possibility

I'd say just get a trailer. Find a cheap used one, install a cheap wheel chock in the front and go with it.

In every owners manual Honda warns about coasting down hills with the engine off.  No lubrication to the gears.

Get a trailer. UHAul has a motorcycle specific trailer for relatively cheap.  Or buy a trailer, haul the bike, and sell the trailer when you get there.  Even if you take a hit on the sale, consider it rent on a trailer and no wear on your rear tire.
