Been a quick minute; I'm Sean. After taking a long hiatus from the old Nighthawk-Forums, I'm sad to learn about what happened to the site. Though, I'm really happy to see that people decided to keep the tribal knowledge alive with this site!

Been browsing this new forum and happy to see some familiar names still participating!

I recently got back into motorcycle riding after taking my second 3-year no-bike self-inflicted misery and purchased a '04 919. It's not a Nighthawk per se, but, I feel like it's a close cousin. It's strange having a radiator on an inline 4 for the first time! Took it out for the first time today after getting it registered up and what do you know, first bike to park next to mine was a NH750; must have been a sign.

Hope you all have been doing well!

I thought the CB750 had a radiator, no?  An oil radiator, but a radiator nonetheless.

The 919 is supposed to be a hot bike.  Updated version of the Hornet I think.  And I've seen people ride the snot out of a Hornet.

You are correct about the oil cooler. I should have been a bit more precise in my vague description of green kool-aid cooling.  ;D

After several 900-1300 liquid cooled bikes, inline 3, 4, V4, I'm back to a smaller air cooled bike.
