Brake site glass replacement or........?

I'm getting ready to order a replacement brake site glass and then had a thought.  Has anyone switch to the little plastic brake fluid container that are on sport bikes?  Those seem a bit more user friendly to me(no experience though).  Site glass is cheap and seems easy enough to replace but......Anyone switched over to the other type of master?   I'm on a 91 cb750, not sure that would matter.
Anyone tried this and found it doesn't work for some reason?  What's the reason?  Is it because the brake lever is attached to ours and may be a different connection for the other type?
Curious and wondering if I should just stick to replacement of the glass or give changing it over a try.

Thanks for any input.

The brake lever mechanism does make a difference, so if you're switching to a new cylinder then you probably need to change the lever as well.  Which likely means that you want to change the clutch lever too, so that they match.
Years ago, one of the members of the predecessor forum to this one switch both sides on his 700S, but that was simpler because both systems are hydraulic on that bike, so he was able to get a matched pair.
