So I know it's totally unconventional, but when the opportunity presents itself...

I've got an 85 700s, it doesn't run and it hasn't since it became mine. According to my buddy it's got a really bad knock.

I remember seeing an IG post that featured a cb600? (Could've been bigger) but it was like a retro mod nighthawk-looked amazing and I've been wanting to do one ever since(just been waiting to get my hands on a cbr drop out.

However I have an opportunity to get my hands on a vtf1000f engine.

Has anyone ever attempted to perform a swap like this into a nighthawk frame??

Never heard of something that radical.  Would require a lot of fabrication, not the least of which is that the VTR is chain drive and the 700S is shaft.

Very true, I'd be looking at doing a swing arm / wheel conversion.

I mean it would easier to probably fab the NH plastics to the vtf and fabing some plastics to make the bike look better. But I'm not sure if this vtf has title. And yeah I know it's definitely not smart to buy with no title. But I guess as long as it isn't stolen.

I can not imagine any compatibility between the I-4 frame and the V-4 engine.
