Proper Paint Color For Frame and Other Black Trim

I recently bought an 83 Nighthawk 650 to restore. I'm trying to determine what the proper black color was on the original bikes.  Is it satin black or gloss black. It's hard to tell on the bike I have since it appears it may have been stored outdoors and the paint has faded.  I'm particular interested in the correct black for: the frame, engine, instrument cluster, misc. other black trim pieces.
