New to me 1984 700SC

Hi all,
I just picked up a new to me 1984 700SC.
I got this bike non running and completely torn apart. I'm slowly putting it all back together, and loving every moment of working on it.
I'm currently trying to track down a leak. Well the name of the part that I need new seals for anyways.

I put back on the drain pan, and filled it up with oil. I cycled it a few times and checked the dipstick.
all well and done.
I come back the next day and there is a small drip coming from where the gear selector/lever is going into what i believe is the transmission/clutch.

It appears that someone was already in there as there is RTV smeared all around the part.
I think its the clutch slave cylinder at least from the parts break down on partzilla.

can anyone confirm thats what the part is? I will try and snap a picture this afternoon and upload it.
