2022 West Virginia Ride

Having just completed a 2023 ride in Ohio, I figured it was finally time to get around to editing some of the video from the 2022 trip to West Virginia.  Several of the participants are/have been members of the Nighthawk Forums over the years, but I think I'm the only person who still has one.
This is really my first time trying to put together a comprehensive ride video like this.  Hopefully it's not too tiresome.

Wow - that is a lot of miles!  The gravel and rain must have been a challenge.

I remember riding on a road that had more potholes than pavement, and decided to change my frustration to the thrill of what it would be like to travel across a foreign country (though I was in rural California). It makes you come to life.

The general rule is that if you ride with this group -- and DesignFlaw06 in particular -- then you will get rained on.
Happily, we seem to have broken the curse this year.  Perhaps Snowshoe Mountain counted for two years' worth.

I still have my '96 NH750, although either of my two ST1100s are much more comfortable for longer rides.

Let me know the next time you're planning a similar trip. Since my new hip has healed, I can ride much longer.

The ST forum group stays in Davis, WV in October. I still hate riding in the rain, even though I carry a rain suit.

This year was supposed to be Vermont but it was changed due to the flooding up there.  That might be next year's destination, but I'm not the one who decides these things.
